Seqen’s: 100 Project
Are you tired of the negative conditions of the world and would like to change it for better? This project gives you an opportunity to do just that.
Summary
The 100 Project is a visionary community-driven initiative designed to unite people particularly of African heritage in the diaspora, empowering them to contribute and share their skills to strengthen cultural identity, health, well-being, and economic resilience.
Through this coordinated effort, community spaces will help lay the foundation for building sustainable, autonomous, communities. These communities will include housing, health centres, education centres, spiritual centres, job opportunities, and other critical infrastructure for thriving self-reliant living.
The project will operate in renewable phases with Phase 1 launched on June 26, 2025. Progress will be transparently documented and shared with contributors through a secure, password-protected section of the existing project website.

Your questions answered
The 100 Project is a community-led initiative that brings together 100+ individuals from the African diaspora to support and strengthen Black-owned community stores in the UK, US, and Caribbean, while simultaneously helping to build sustainable, autonomous communities in Africa. It is a mission-driven project, not a financial investment scheme.
Your contribution goes directly into a dedicated project fund used to:
Strengthen and expand existing community stores
Support infrastructure development in African communities (housing, education, healthcare, etc.)
Fund planning, operations, and transparent project management
Regular financial reports and updates are shared via a secure contributor portal on our website.
No. This is not an investment and should not be treated as such. Contributors are supporting a cause they believe in — one rooted in community empowerment, cultural legacy, and sustainable development. However, while there are no financial returns offered during Phase 1, contributors who participate early will be given priority access to future opportunities in Phases 2 to 5 that may include options to engage in ventures designed to yield returns. These future opportunities will be structured separately and transparently communicated in due course.
The suggested minimum contribution of £1,000 helps ensure we can raise adequate funds to make tangible progress in Phase 1. It also fosters commitment from participants, encouraging both financial support and the offering of skills, time, and energy. However, we welcome contributions of any amount—greater or lesser—as every level of support helps move the mission forward and allows more people to be part of this journey.
A core team of experienced professionals and community leaders oversees The 100 Project. Governance is provided by a Board and an Advisory Council made up of subject-matter experts from the diaspora and Africa. All activities are managed with strict transparency, with regular progress updates and reporting shared with contributors.
As a contributor, you’ll gain exclusive access to a password-protected section of our website where you’ll find:
Project milestones and reports
Financial summaries
Construction updates
Community store progress
Stakeholder meeting recaps
We also host periodic virtual meetups and Q&A sessions to maintain open communication.
As with any large-scale, multi-phased project, challenges may arise. However, risk management and contingency planning are built into every phase. The team will maintain full transparency, communicate challenges, and outline solutions promptly to ensure progress continues.
We are starting with Liberia, Ghana, and Nigeria due to existing local partnerships and favorable environments for diaspora engagement. Communities are selected based on need, opportunity, and the readiness of local collaborators to co-create with us. Further expansion will include other regions across Africa.
Absolutely. In fact, The 100 Project is powered by both money and minds. We actively encourage contributors to offer their skills, networks, and professional expertise to help with planning, outreach, education, training, tech development, logistics, and more.
No. This is an independent, community-led initiative. While we will collaborate with local governments and service providers for practical support (permits, infrastructure, etc.), the project remains firmly in the hands of its contributors and leadership council.
We hope you stay with us for the full journey. However, if at any point you no longer wish to participate, you can discontinue your involvement. Please note that contributions are non-refundable as they are directed toward long-term development activities.
We understand the skepticism that can come from years of unfulfilled promises to the diaspora. That’s why The 100 Project is structured with:
Clear milestones
Financial transparency
Live updates
Independent oversight
Community co-creation
More than a dream — this is a plan in motion, backed by infrastructure and dedicated people.
